To summarize it in 1 sentence, here’s a quote from iHeart’s Blog, “During (2021), iHeartRadio has seen multicultural audiences flourish to new highs, as listenership among Black, Hispanic and other diverse audiences has all significantly grown.”
It’s great to see such diversity growing in podcasts. And it makes sense, as most traditional talk radio is primarily targeted to White males. The openness of podcasts has allowed many underserved communities to have a voice.
At YEA, we’ve grown our multicultural podcast, featuring more Black and Hispanic voices than ever before. And look for that to continue in 2022.
